 Mindy A. Abern joined InfoLawGroup in 2017 after running a marketing and advertising law firm for nearly eight years.  Prior to that, Mindy served as marketing counsel for Sears Holdings Corporation for several years.  Mindy focuses her practice on providing counsel on a wide-range of promotional and advertising activities.  She has experience in all types of media and promotions and frequently assists with all legal aspects of contests, sweepstakes, and reviewing promotional materials.  She also oversees product packaging review, including regulatory issues and performance claims.  She has an extensive background in various retail issues related to pricing, sale frequency and coupons.  Mindy’s background includes working with clients to develop proper e-commerce practices, including privacy policies, terms of use, loyalty program terms and conditions, social media, and email marketing.  In addition, Mindy frequently drafts and negotiates agreements for sponsorship and joint promotion, personal services and celebrity spokespersons, licensing, media buys, and lead generation, in addition to master and project services agreements.
