Tatyana Ruderman joined InfoLawGroup as Counsel in May 2018, having previously practiced as the Senior Associate for Mudd Law Offices in Chicago. Tatyana has represented local and international clientele in diverse litigation and transactional matters involving Internet, privacy, entertainment, intellectual property, startup, employment, contract, and tort law matters. Tatyana quickly developed experience in the area of Internet law. As a second year associate, Tatyana argued before the Illinois Appellate Court on the issue of Illinois courts’ jurisdictional limits for compelling discovery of personally identifying information. As a fourth year associate, Tatyana led an online defamation jury trial. Tatyana has experience counseling clients on privacy, data security, intellectual property, and First Amendment issues.

Tatyana’s background in mass communications provides a grassroots perspective for navigating issues related to new technology. She has experience in privacy matters, including internal compliance policies and consumer policies, such as web site policies and advising on privacy and security-related compliance strategies and programs. Tatyana has experience drafting and negotiating agreements for entertainment industry clients, including screenwriter, director, and artist agreements. She also manages trademark and copyright filings.

Tatyana also has extensive experience managing litigation matters from inception to disposition including cases involving claims for defamation and false light, as well as those brought pursuant to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the Stored Communications Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, and the Illinois Eavesdropping Act.

Tatyana is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of College and she graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University. She is a speaker on privacy, intellectual property, and technology.
